Police: Man attacked woman with knife

A Rome man was in jail Thursday after he allegedly assaulted a woman with a knife, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Alexious Danya Johnson, 34, of 307 Perkins St., caused serious bodily injury during an altercation with a female at a Smith Street residence on Oct. 14.

The report indicated the victim suffered lacerations that resulted in permanent disfigurement.

Johnson was charged with felony aggravated assault, felony aggravated battery and felony possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

He remained in jail without bond.
