Floyd County closed sales, home price and total sales value jump in October

The sale of single family homes in Floyd County jumped in October compared to the same time in 2011 to 66 closed sales from 50, according to the Georgia Multiple Listing Service figures provided by the Greater Rome Board of Realtors President Jason Free, of Keller-Williams Realty.

The total closed sale value of homes in Floyd County in October was $9,710,295 the second highest figure in 2012, from $4,514,030 in Oct. 2011.

This number increased nearly $2 million from September.

The average sale price of homes also jumped significantly in October to $147,126 from $90,281 in October 2011.

The average days on the market dropped from 199 in Oct. 2011 to 179 in Oct. 2012.

Year to date 680 homes have been sold in Floyd County.
