Steve Mason of Dacula and Janey Mason of Cumming announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Amanda Mason, to Jacob Byars Selman, son of Elaine and Randel Selman of Rome.

Miss Mason is the granddaugther of the late William and Mary Mason and the late George and Edna Warren.

The bride-elect graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Music Theory, and a Master’s of Business Administration degree. She is employed as a teacher at a private academy.

Selman is the grandson of Guyton and Connis Selman of Rome and the late Leroy and Vieva Byars.

He is the brother of Joanna Selman.

The groom-elect received a Bachelor’s of Sports Administration degree from Reinhardt University and a Master’s of Special Education from Jacksonville State University. He is employed as a Special Education math teacher and coach at Marietta High School.

A private ceremony on December 1st, 2012 is planned in Helen. A wedding reception is to be held December 15th, 2012 at The Partridge Restaurant in Rome.
