Mrs. Bradley Bear Crowder
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hix of Rome. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Crowder of Kingston and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Warner of Cedartown.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hix of Rome, Jane Estes and the late Bill Estes of Rome. The groom is the grandson of Yvonne Crabbe of Silver Creek, Jane Crowder of Rome, the late Danny Crabbe Sr. and the late Harold Crowder Sr.
The Reverend Jimmie Turner of Hinesville performed the double ring ceremony under a wrought iron arbor, draped with candle light fabric accented with white roses and greenery. The ceremony was held lake side surrounded by flowers.
During the lighting of the unity candle, Brittany Sorrells, sister of the groom, sang “You Are.”
Cailee Hix, sister of the bride, of Rome was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Sorrells of Cedartown, Courtney Warner, Ivy Nicholson and Kayla Simonds all of Rome. The maid of honor wore a black and white floral print, satin tea length dress with a sweetheart neckline. The bridesmaids wore black satin tea length dresses with sweetheart necklines. They all carried a fresh bouquet of green Fuji mums, green pom poms and green hydrangea. Each wrapped with black satin ribbon.
Sarah Beth Bushnell was the flower girl. She wore a tea length candle light dress, accented with a black satin sash and bow. She carried a basket filled with fresh yellow rose petals. Sawyer Sorrells, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer. He wore a candle light linen romper. The rings were carried on a satin pillow.
Cody Crumley, cousin of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Seth Sorrells, Ben Hughes both of Cedartown, Branton Treglown and Cabe Carney both of Rome. The groom wore a black tux with a candle light vest and tie. The groomsmen wore black tux with black vest and kiwi green ties.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father wore a strapless candle light gown with a sweetheart neckline. The waistline was accented with pearl beading. The gown featured a fitted mermaid bodice accented with a bow on the side. She wore a matching veil
with pearl edging. She carried a bouquet of fresh white roses, lisanthus, freesia and hydrangea wrapped with a satin candle light ribbon.
The mother of the bride wore a champagne tea length dress with beaded waistline and a matching jacket with three quarter length sleeves. The mother of the groom wore a sleeveless tea length kiwi green chiffon dress. The step mother of the groom wore a sleeveless tea length black
chiffon dress. The mothers and grandmothers were presented with corsages of fresh white roses and lisianthus.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the conservatory at Belle Terra. Heavy hors d’oeuvers included the bride’s four-tiered cake with vanilla almond butter cream icing, accented with fresh flowers and black ribbon along the edges, topped with a “C” for the newlywed’s new last name. The groom’s cake was chocolate with double chocolate fudge icing, featuring a University of Alabama “A” on top.
The evening before the wedding the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at their home. Other prenuptial parties included a miscellaneous shower given by Marsha Spears, Vicki Toland and Kim Ramos hosted at the Coosa House, a wedding shower given by Nancy Hix, Nancy Echols and Lisa Hix hosted at the home of Nancy Echols, a wedding shower given by Jane Crowder, Miranda Crumley, Regina Smith, Beverly Crowder, and Wanda Treglown hosted at the home of Jane Crowder, a wedding shower given by Jennifer Hatch, Kim Howard and Carol Townsend hosted at the home of Jennifer Hatch. A bachelorette weekend in Blue Ridge was hosted by the bridesmaids. The groomsmen hosted a bachelor weekend at the lake. A bridesmaid’s luncheon was hosted by the bride.
After a honeymoon to Rivera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in Cave Spring.
