Police arrested a Rome man after he was observed allegedly betting on a game of dice, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Marcquell D. Williams, 20, of 307 Grady Ave., was seen with a group of men betting for money with dice at the corner of Camp Street and Pine Street in North Rome on Friday night.

The subjects began to walk off when officers arrived and then ran when they were commanded to stop.

Williams was taken into custody and admitted that he had drank two beers.

He was charged with misdemeanor counts of underage possession of alcohol, obstruction of law enforcement officers and gambling. He was released on bond.
