Three Alabama residents were arrested Sunday and charged with cocaine and methamphetamine possession after the vehicle they were in was stopped for speeding, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Vance Lamar Whitaker, 21, of 63 Hudson Drive, Boaz, Ala., William Andrew Kuykendall, 20, of 206 Shahun Ave., Gadsden, Ala., and Antonia Desiree James, 20, of 706 Tidemore Bend Road, Gadsden, Ala., were all charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine as well as misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects.

Whitaker was clocked going 82 mph in a 55 mph zone on Ga. 53 when he was pulled over near Morgan Dairy Road.

After Whitaker withdrew consent for a vehicle search, a K-9 unit located a glass straw with a white powdery residue on the floor of the vehicle.

Further search of the vehicle turned up two clear bags of a white powdery substance.

Whitaker was also charged with felony possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, giving a false name, driving on a suspended license, speeding, concealing the identity of a vehicle, failure to show proof of insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle.

All three remained in jail Sunday night without bond.
