Former Catoosa deputy indicted on sexual exploitation of children charges

A former Catoosa County sheriff’s office deputy has been indicted on 13 sexual child abuse-related charges involving one girl, records show.

Stephen Crossen, a 5 1/2-year department employee, was fired on Feb. 29 for a policy violation, Sheriff Phil Summers said at the time.

The county grand jury indicted Crossen on six counts of sexual exploitation of children, one count of sodomy, five counts of distributing pornography to a minor, and one count of interference with custody on Wednesday.
