The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Ware of Cedartown. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Akins of Aragon.
Rev. Don Spears performed the opening prayer, and Dr. Philip May performed the double ring ceremony. Music selections included “Mighty to Save,” “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “This Little Light of Mine” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” Jason Agan performed “Marry Me” as the bride walked down the aisle, and Tara Davenport performed “When I Say I Do” during the sand ceremony.
Sisters of the bride, Ragan Ware of Cedartown and Corey Ware of Rome, were the maids of honor. Bridesmaids included Ashley Smith of Loganville, Lauren Taylor of Rome, Brittany Delong of Blacksburg, Va., Connor Mull of Rome, Jessica Dennis of Aragon, Mackenzie Baker of Silver Creek, and Lyndsay Franklin of Cedartown.
The maids of honor and bridesmaids all wore tissue taffeta cocktail length, plum-colored dresses. Scattered chiffon and taffeta flowers bordered the bottom of the dresses. The bride’s attendants carried bouquets of white hydrangea. Leah and Cierra Allard of Rome were the flower girls. They wore white and ivory tulle dresses. The flower girls both carried white baskets filled with rose petals.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Her ivory strapless gown had a soft sweetheart neckline made of Alencon lace. The skirt of the gown flowed away from the fitted bodice into a full silk tulle skirt, which was also trimmed in Alencon lace and flowed into a chapel length train. A simple, yet elegant tulle veil flowing down to the bride’s fingertips was chosen to complete the ensemble. The bride carried a colorful bouquet of roses, hydrangeas, and calla lilies.
Tim Akins, father of the groom, and Jason Agan, both of Aragon, served as the best men. Groomsmen included Jake
Watters of Aragon, Will Frasier of Rome, Eric Wright of Rome, Trent Mull of Rome, Jared Kochanski of Aragon, Luke Scoggins of Aragon, and Jacob Parker of Silver Creek. The best men and groomsmen all wore black tuxedos with ivory vests and plum ties to coordinate with the bride’s attendants. Cade Tanner escorted one of the flower girls down the aisle in a rustic wagon, and Caleb Tanner was the ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Proctor Farm.
The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at La Marie’s in Rome. Other prenuptial parties included a wedding shower given by Sandra Taylor, Lauren Taylor, Debbie McElveen, Katie Beth Wacker, Hunter Taylor, and Macy Taylor hosted at the home of Debbie McElveen, a wedding shower given by Flint Hill Baptist Church, a wedding shower given by Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church, a kitchen gadget and pantry shower given by Amber Ware and Judy Clark, and a tool and garden shower given by Annette Earwood and Sharon Wheat hosted at the home of Edith Smith. A bridesmaid’s luncheon was given by Jo Jordan and Susan Litton and hosted at the home of Jo Jordan.
After a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean Islands of St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten, the couple now resides in Cartersville.
