Two men incarcerated in the Floyd County Jail have had additional charges made against them after an incident last month, according to jail reports.

According to the reports:

Dewayne Ramon Young, 32, of 207 Central St., Cedartown, allegedly assisted inmate Timothy Dalton Barton in an assault on another inmate at the facility on Oct. 23.

The two cut the face and neck of the victim with a razor blade, disfiguring the inmate’s face.

Young was charged with felony counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, participating in a criminal street gang and riot in a penal institution. He was involved in the incident as a member of a known gang.

At the same time, Shelton Tremaine Harris, 29, of 108 Malone Drive, who was also an inmate, caused bodily harm to Barton by hitting him in the face and head with a closed fist. Harris was charged with misdemeanor battery.
