A Rome man was in custody Monday night accused of assaulting a woman at a Crosscreek Drive residence late Sunday night, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Robert Gregory Brock, 39, of 117 Echota Circle, Rome, allegedly held the victim down on a bed while choking her with both hands and saying that he was going to break her neck.

The attack left marks on the woman’s neck and caused the victim to fear for her life and bodily harm.
