Rome police responded to an incident during the weekend where a convenience store clerk reported that someone threatened him with a gun behind the store, according to a Rome Police report.

According to the police report:

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a clerk at the Kangaroo convenience store on Shorter Avenue was behind the store throwing some boxes away when he witnessed a man lingering behind the dumpster.

The clerk told the man he could not stay near the dumpsters behind the store when the man told him to leave him alone, brandishing a pistol. He ran away and said, “I’ll be back.”

Police surrounded the area looking for the suspect but were unable to find anyone who matched the man’s description.
