WOODSTOCK, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say thieves cut the locks on a trailer belonging to a nonprofit group in Woodstock, stealing five baby cribs that were intended to go to new mothers.

An employee of The Hope Center noticed the trailer was gone when she arrived at work Wednesday morning. Monti Price tells CBS Atlanta that she drove up, saw the trailer was missing and "my heart just sank."

The nonprofit has been in operation for more than 20 years. Price used the trailer to pick up big items like cribs and strollers for mothers in need.

Price said the organization can't afford to buy a new trailer.

Woodstock is about 30 miles north of Atlanta.
