A Calhoun woman was in jail Thursday night after she allegedly stole a pair of diamond and gold earrings, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Melissa Dawn Jacks, 46, of 265 Newtown Road, Calhoun, took the jewelry from a Rome woman between Nov. 6 and Nov. 17. The earrings are valued at more than $1,500.

Jacks was charged with felony theft by taking. She remained in jail Thursday night without bond.
