Mrs. Jacob Alan Kirkpatrick
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Donna Boatfield of Lindale. She is the granddaughter of Bobbie Wyatt and the late John Boatfield, and of Carl Stewart, all of Rome, and the late Linda Stewart.
The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Cheryl Kirkpatrick of Shannon. He is the grandson of the late James Kirkpatrick and the late June Kirkpatrick of Martins Ferry, Ohio, and of Kay Hannan of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., and the late George Hannan.
Pastor Nate Galloway of Cedartown performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with mason jars containing ivory hydrangea and assorted candles and a candelabrum with ivory unity candles. Chapel pews were adorned with childhood pictures of the bride and groom.
Music was provided by pianist Stacey Perry and included “The Way You Look Tonight,” “Heaven,” “The Gift of Love,” “From This Moment,” “River Flows in You,” “God Gave Me You” and “Wonderwall.”
The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a fit and flare gown with a sweetheart neckline and corset closure. The Demir stretch satin provided sleek luster to this slender silhouette. Ruching enveloped the bodice and asymmetrically plummeted below the
waist, while the train poured into a gorgeous balloon hem. The empire waist was accented with a crystal and rhinestone band. She wore a chapel length ivory veil that was edged with a satin trim. She carried a clutch bouquet of ivory roses, light pink roses, and ivory hydrangea. The bouquet was wrapped with a piece her mother’s wedding gown and adorned with pearl pins. She also carried a handkerchief, borrowed from a close family friend, Brandi Mathis.
Lindsey Brooke Boatfield of Lindale, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Valerie McCaffrey Maynor, Nicole Baker Popham, and Kati Westfall Turner, all of Rome. They wore gowns of eggplant chiffon with a satin waist band accent. Matching amethyst bracelets, gifts from the bride, completed their ensembles. The bride’s sister, Mallory Lynn Boatfield of Lindale was the junior bridesmaid. She wore a scoop-neck halter knee-length gown in pink chiffon. They each carried hand bouquets of hot pink Gerber daisies wrapped with burlap.
The flower girl was Ava Grace Kirkpatrick, daughter of the bride and groom. She wore an eggplant chiffon gown featuring pickups and a hot pink sash. She carried a pomander made with deep purple daisies adorned with a hot pink bow made of sheer ribbon.
Luke Kirkpatrick, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Blu White, Jacob Crawford, both of Rome, and Jeffrey Williams of Hiram. The ring bearer was Knox Popham of Rome.
The mother of the bride wore a sleeveless full length mocha colored gown with a beaded waistline. The mother of the groom wore a full length copper chiffon gown with a coordinating jacket.
After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Forum in Rome. Refreshments included the bride’s four tier, round confection consisting of white cake with butter crème icing and raspberry pastry cream filling. It featured a scroll pattern, with the couple’s initials and the bottom of each tier was surrounded with a beaded ivory ribbon. The groom’s chocolate cake with sour cream fudge icing was decorated with the Ohio State symbol.
The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the bride’s parents’ home in Lindale.
Other pre-nuptial parties included a luau wedding shower hosted by the bridesmaids, a shower hosted by employees of Rome Athletic Club and a bachelorette weekend in Nashville, Tenn.
After a wedding trip to Dillard, the couple resides in Silver Creek.
