The Salvation Army says a big “thank you” to an anonymous donor, also referred to as the non-profit’s “Secret Santa,” for donating 48 $100 bills in the red kettle outside the K-Mart in Fort Oglethorpe on Dec. 4.

“This donor is so generous by donating and joining The Salvation Army in doing the most good,” said Algerome Newsome, The Salvation Army area commander. “What a blessing this person has provided to so many this Christmas.”

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program deadline is extended to Sunday, Dec. 9. With only four days left, there are still 651 Angels to be adopted and many more who have been adopted but their gifts have not been dropped off yet. The Salvation Army Angel Tree provides Christmas assistance for needy children, their families and senior citizens who would not otherwise receive gifts, including necessities like food and warm clothing. Angel Trees are at Hamilton Place, Northgate and Bradley Square shopping malls.
