Two people are facing theft charges after their arrest on Cave Spring Road late Tuesday night, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Scotty William McElwee, 33, of 517 Elliott Drive, had a Chevrolet Cavalier at a Cave Spring Road business that had been stolen in a burglary. He was charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property and a parole violation.

April Nicole Minter, 23, of 160 John White Drive, Resaca, was with him and was also charged with theft by receiving stolen property. Police found tools taken in a recent burglary with them.

McElwee remained in jail Wednesday night without bond while Minter was released on $3,500 bond.
