Report: Rome man beat, threatened to kill victim

A Rome man was arrested Friday on warrants after he allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill a victim at his residence on Dec. 6, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Patrick Kelly McDougal, 40, of 3 Beech St., reportedly threatened to pour hot oil on the victim. He also allegedly punched, kicked, choked and slammed the victim’s head into the ground several times. Significant bruising was found on the victim.

McDougal was charged with felony terroristic threats and acts, misdemeanor battery and simple assault. He was released on a $7,900 conditional property bond.
