A man told police he was beaten while on Knowles Court, according to a Rome police report.

According to the report:

The complainant said he was walking home after purchasing an alcoholic beverage.

He said that two younger men approached him and asked him for money.

He said he did not have any and continued walking. The two men then struck him on his face with closed fist and in his front leg with a stick, breaking it below his left knee.

The man was taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.
