A man was calling guests at Hawthorn Suites in downtown Rome on Thursday night asking for personal information, according to Rome police reports.

According to the report:

Employees said two guests had called the front desk of the hotel to report that a man had called saying he was from the front desk and needed their name, address and credit card information.

The guests said they did not give any personal information to the man. The hotel said they would advise all of their guests of the caller.
