Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A traffic stop at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Maurice Culberson Drive on Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest of one man on drug charges, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

William Clay Hicks, 44, of 1045 Wayside Road N.E., was stopped for a seat belt violation. When police searched him, they found marijuana.

Hicks was charged with a seat belt violation and two counts of felony possession of marijuana.
