We're going go to have showers and possibly a thunderstorm today with a chance of severe weather but most of the severe weather is likely to stay south of Atlanta, according to the National Weather Service.

Floyd County and much of Northwest Georgia is under a wind advisory with gusts as high as 35 mph expected today.
