The Dare County, N.C. Sheriff's Office says Paul Anthony Wright was arrested in Brantley County, Ga. on Thursday. Wright lives in Hortense, Ga. and is awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
Dare County authorities say he faces charges of threatening to kill a court officer and making a false report concerning a destructive device. It wasn't immediately clear Friday whether Wright had an attorney.
The Dare County Sheriff's Office say the bomb threat was made against Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Jerry Tillett on Dec. 11. A warrant for Wright was issued after investigators reviewed phone records.
The Dare County Sheriff's Office says it has not ruled out additional arrests in the case.
