Three people, including a young child, were sent to the hospital following a wreck at the intersection of East 12th Street and Walnut Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

According to Rome police Pfc. Corey Bowers:

A Toyota Celica, driven by Dena-Dung Le, 22, of Rome, ran and stop sign and pulled out in front of a Honda driven by Ashley Richardson, 21, also of Rome.

Le had to be extricated from her vehicle because her door jammed.

Le, Richardson and a child in Richardson’s vehicle were taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment. The injuries to all three appeared to be non-life threatening.

Le was cited for running a stop sign.

East 12th Street from Cedar Avenue to Walnut Avenue was blocked while police investigated.
