Woman charged with interference with custody, drug possession

Floyd County police say a woman took a minor that needed medical attention for Type I diabetes and would not tell police the location of the child, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Kayla Brooke Roach, 18, of 213 Sunny Heights Drive, Rome, is charged with misdemeanor interference with custody, felony possession of dangerous drugs, felony theft by receiving stolen property, misdemeanor reckless conduct, and misdemeanor obstruction.

Police said she ran from them when they approached her and she admitted to using methamphetamine.
