A Rome man was being held at the Floyd County Jail on Saturday night after he allegedly broke into a home on Northridge Court, according to jail reports.

According to the reports:

Mason Lee Ballard, 24, of 1312 Old Cave Spring Road, was arrested behind the

Piggly Wiggly for the incident that occurred early Thursday morning. Ballard forcibly entered the residence with the intent to commit a theft, damaging the door frame in the process. A witness in the home reported seeing Ballard. He was charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal damage to property in the second degree.
