Two young boys were killed and two other people were seriously injured Friday morning when a GMC Envoy collided with a tractor-trailer in Murray County near the Gordon County line.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver of the GMC Envoy failed to stop at a stop sign as she was traveling south on Old U.S. 411 and struck the left side of a tractor-trailer traveling east on GA 136.

The Envoy then spun and hit the rear of the tractor-trailer.

Mason Greene, 12, and Zachary Greene, 6, both of Summerville, were passengers in the Envoy and killed in the wreck.

The boys’ mother, Susan Renee Greene, 39, of Summerville, who was driving the Envoy, and a third passenger, Dylan Webb, 13, of Euharlee, were taken to Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Bobby Gene Douglas, 41, of Resaca, was also taken to Hamilton Medical Center for treatment.
