A traffic stop for a non-working brake light resulted in the arrest of two people on drug charges, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Amanda Brooke Ingram, 34, of 707 Terhune Road, was stopped on Maple Road at its intersection of Old Rockmart Road on Tuesday night.

A check of the vehicle resulted in a bag containing powder residue, some scales and an open beer can.

Ingram was charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, a brake light violation, a window tint violation and no insurance.

A passenger in her vehicle, Chancey Wadell Ashley, 34, of 575 Preacher Smith Road, Silver Creek, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, open container and possession of drugs past the guard line.

Police say they found a bag of suspected methamphetamine in the patrol car once Ashley was taken to jail.

Ashley was also being held for Bartow County.
