According to the reports:
Christopher Dale Hudgins, 28, of 19 Whitworth Place, stole a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan from a Cave Spring Highway residence on Dec. 20.
An officer confronted him on Melody Lane in West Rome on Dec. 26 when he was observed driving the stolen vehicle. Hudgins refused to cooperate and put the vehicle in reverse as he attempted to hit the officer.
He abandoned the vehicle after a short chase and was not found and taken into custody until Monday at a Herring Road residence.
Reports also stated that Hudgins obstructed the investigation of a 13-year-old missing boy who he encouraged to smoke synthetic marijuana while also providing real marijuana.
Hudgins also tried to get the boy to help cut off his ankle monitor and participated in putting a tattoo on the juvenile’s right shoulder.
Hudgins was charged with felony counts of theft by taking — vehicle, aggravated assault, criminal solicitation, request or solicitation removal of an electronic monitor device, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, furnishing or permitting a minor to possess a firearm and reckless conduct.
He was charged with misdemeanor counts of obstruction of law enforcement officers, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and tattooing a person younger than the age of 18.
Hudgins was being held without bond.
