The Edge, owned by Richard Hendricks has moved from its former location at 252 N. Fifth Ave., to 113A Armstrong St., off John Davenport Drive, adjacent to Charles Culberson’s Doubleday Sports Academy.

The Edge offers personal training opportunities that focus on strength, speed and agility.

Hendricks made the move over the long New Year’ Day weekend.

He said that Culberson had approached him about moving several months ago but initially opted to stay where he was. Culberson approached Hendricks a second time and The Edge owner decided that it would be a good fit to have complimentary businesses located right next to each other.

Hendricks said he dropped close to a square feet of space in the move but said the square footage he gave up was front office and lobby type space that was not critical to her personal training businesses. “We haven’t lost anything as far as the turf and weight room goes,” Hendricks said. “After looking at everything, being able to team up with Charlie (Culberson) with his experience and all the people he’s got coming to him, it was good for us to get more exposure.

Hendricks said the move also provides Culberson’s clients with a chance to work on their speed training and weight work to his baseball programs. He can help us grow and we can help him better his teams at the same time.”
