A Rome man was arrested Sunday morning at his home after allegedly battering a woman. Warrants on file indicate there was an incident in mid-December that involved the same two people.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Joshua Shane Waddell, 35, of 1602 High Street in Rome was charged with felony battery for grabbing a woman by the throat early Sunday.

He also faces a felony charge of terroristic threats and acts and misdemeanor battery and theft by taking counts for allegedly taking $100 in cash from the victim, striking her with a fist and then making a phone call threatening to kill the woman on Dec. 18, 2012.

Waddell was being held in the Floyd County jail Sunday night without bond.
