Update: The teardown of the old rec authority building on West Third Street is nearly complete. A proposed hotel could eventually be built on the site.

Previously posted: West Third Street from Second Avenue to West Fourth Avenue was closed Tuesday as crews prepared to demolish the old recreation authority building.
