“La Celestina” is set in 1499 in Spain. The story is about love-struck Calisto and the object of his affection, Melibea. On the advice of Calisto’s servant, he hires the town sorceress to help him approach the lofty Melibea attempt to persuade her to return his love. The play offers everything from romance, to magic and murder.
The play is performed in Spanish and a synopsis in English will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
