The wife of former Chattooga County Sheriff John Everett, who also works for the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, turned herself in to the Chattooga County Jail this week on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Floyd County Chief Deputy Tom Caldwell said he is aware of the charge against Tracey Everett but is waiting for information about the arrest before a decision is made on any action.

Everett was involved in an incident at the Summerville Walmart where she allegedly argued with two people in front of children.

She turned herself in on Tuesday and was released on her own recognizance, according to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
