A Cartersville teen is in jail after allegedly beating a six-week-old infant, according to Cartersville police reports:

According to reports:

Dustin Michael Lewis, 18, of Cartersville, is charged with cruelty to children and aggravated battery.

On January 30, a six-week old infant was taken to the emergency room at Cartersville Medical Center with a knot on her head. Further examination revealed that the infant also had broken ribs, a fractured skull, a broken left tibula, and a broken left femur.

The infant was placed into state custody.
