Former U.S. Sen. Max Cleland -- a highly unlikely candidate -- runs a handful of percentage points ahead of the Republican options, while U.S. Rep. John Barrow runs about even and state Sen. Jason Carter runs a few points behind. The strongest performer among the Republicans in a general election is U.S. Rep. Tom Price.
Cleland has the most name identification and positive sentiment of any candidate tested, with a 48-29 favorable-unfavorable ratio. Barrow's favorable-unfavorable is 14-27 and Carter's is 10-18.
