Right lane blocked on East Second Avenue near Hawthorne Suites

Drivers heading northbound on Second Avenue near the intersection with Tribune Street - half a block away from Broad - were forced over one lane during the busy lunch hour.

And the towering reason why became immediate when drivers saw the large crane blocking the right hand lane as construction crews readied a new sign for Hawthorne Suites.

Delays on East Second Avenue are expected to last through the afternoon according to Floyd County 911.
