Gene Scoggins announces the engagement of his daughter Chelsea Denise Callahan of Rome to Jamie Dakota Dotson of Silver Creek, son of Crystal and Kenneth Crowe of Silver Creek.

Miss Callahan is also the daughter of Eddie Callahan of Rome and the late Angie Scoggins.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Armuchee High School and is employed at Applebee’s in Rome. She is the sister of Kacie Scoggins of Centre, Ala., and Josh Callahan of Rome.

She is the granddaughter of Sylvia and Skeet Rickman of Rome, Geraldine and Chester Martin of Rome and the late Delano and Allene Callahan.

The groom-elect is a 2011 graduate of Pepperell High School and is employed by F&R of Georgia. He is the brother of Dustin Dotson of Silver Creek and Adrian Cornejo of Silver Creek.

He is the grandson of Larry and Nellie Dillinger of Silver Creek.

The wedding is scheduled for March 23, 2013, 2 p.m. at Crosspointe Community Church in Aragon. A reception will follow the ceremony in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
