What is the primary purpose of your business? To provide a complete range of professional landscaping and lawn maintenance for our customers. Often times your yard or the landscape outside of your business helps create the first impression for visitors and customers and we take great pride in helping make that first impression a positive one.

What is the business background of the owners. I have a degree in biology from Augusta State University and a chemical spraying license. My father also has a chemical spraying license.

Why did you start (or purchase) this particular business? I just love to be outdoors and enjoy growing things. We really get a great deal of satisfaction in helping people create beautiful yardscapes.

What makes your business unique? The fact that we are a family-owned business and both my father and I have complete certification for the work that we provide. I also am very active in the community and serve on the Board of Directors of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce as well as the Airport Commission. Our employees are also a great team.

What do you enjoy most about your chosen profession? Meeting different people. Rarely does a day go by that I am not meeting with someone new to the community. As I mentioned in an earlier answer I also love to be outdoors. The work is the best part of the job.

What has been the biggest or most interesting challenge to overcome as a small business owner? Weather is probably one of the greatest challenges for our business.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers? We are happy to provide free estimates for potential customers. To my knowledge we are also the only landscaping company that does all of our work in house. We do the maintenance, we do the spraying, we do everything.
