Local authorities arrested an Atlanta man Thursday on accusations he stole more than $3,000 last year with bad checks, reports state.

Mitchell Rashad Kendricks, 24, of 477 Peachtree Street N.E., faces two felony counts of theft by taking and two felony counts of third-degree forgery, records state.

According to reports, Kendricks cashed two bad checks Jan. 14 at Greater Rome Bank, 2518 Shorter Ave.

Arrest warrants were obtained against Kendricks last month, reports state. Kendricks remained Thursday night in the Floyd County Jail without bond, officials said.
