Two people from Resaca have been arrested for trafficking methamphetamine and more arrests are expected to follow from the information obtained at the scene, according to reports from the Gordon County Sheriff's Office.

Rembert Keith Austin, 59, and Shera Renee Walden, a.k.a Shera Renee Morris, 26, were arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, on the morning of March 8, according to reports.

Following the execution of search warrants of the residence, a large quantity of methamphetamine, several thousand dollars in cash, as well as written records of transactions were discovered. More than half a pound of methamphetamine was seized during the course of the investigation.

Austin, who was on probation for a previous methamphetamine trafficking conviction, has been charged with four counts of sale/distribution of Methamphetamine, and three counts of trafficking in methamphetamines.
