The Rome Literary Team dominated the region tournament on March 9 in Villa Rica, placing in every event and Winning 1st Place overall by a large margin. The Tournament was held at Villa Rica High School.

For Essay, RaShaun Loveless took 4th in Boys and Kylie Copeland took 3rd in Girls.

The Girls Trio - Tessa Howard, Kristan Mayo & Whitney Davis - took 2nd place.

Tyler Gallagher took 3rd place in Boys Extemp.

Kyle Huey took 2nd place in Boys Dramatic Interp.

Diana Romo took 2nd place in Girls Solo.

Placing first place in their event and qualifying for the state tournament on the 16th:

Katie Clay for Girls Dramatic Interp.

Kyle Huey for Boys Solo.

Laura Whitlow for Girls Extemporaneous Speaking.

And The Boys Quartet - Matthew Nedvin, James Douglas, Zach Kinsey & Avery Harris.

"This is the strongest Rome has ever finished in Regional competition, earning 47 sweepstakes points, and the most first place finishes we've had," said W. Lance Godfrey, Rome High School drama, one act and literary Coach.
