Chase Kulczak shot a 74 (35-39) and is tied for 17th place.
Oglethorpe leads with a 291, one stroke ahead of Methodist. Mike Wesko of Methodist fired a 70 and has a one stroke edge over three individuals.
The Vikings 306 tally is one behind CNU and Trinity, which are tied for eighth place in the 30-team field.

BERRY BASEBALL
Berry College rallied from behind and then held off Millsaps in the ninth inning for an 8-7 win on Friday night. Berry improved to 9-8 and 6-1 in the Southern Athletic Association. Millsaps dropped to 11-4 and 3-1.
Brandyn Jackson, Zach Farmer and Stephen Gaylor all had two hits for the Vikes.
The Vikings trailed 6-4 going to the bottom of the seventh before scoring four runs to earn the win.
Reliever Danny Parry got the win and improved to 3-0 for the year. Christian Champion picked up his third save of the year after recording the final out.
“We fought through adversity and hung on for a big conference win,” said Berry head coach David Beasley. “Usually we limit Danny (Parry) to two innings, but he was pitching well. Champion did a good job to get that last out.”
The second game of the three-game series is today.
BERRY WOMEN’S GOLF
The Berry College women’s golf team shot a first round 354 and is in 15th place at the Jekyll Island Women’s Collegiate which began on Friday. Lacey Sheppard led the Vikings with a round of 85 and is tied for 40th.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps carded a 318 and leads second place Mary Hardin Baylor by five strokes. Maya Reddy of CMS shot a 77 and leads all individuals.

SHORTER TENNIS
Playing their home opener, the Shorter tennis teams both fell to Valdosta State by matching scores of 6-3.
The Lady Hawks (5-6) picked up a point in doubles play when the Lady Blazers were unable to compete in the third match-up against the duo of Alicia Gallard/Aurore Beltrando.
Candice Laurent picked up the win at the top singles match, 7-6, 7-6, against Michelle Fischer. Laurent now has back-to-back victories, and stands at 7-2 on the season in singles action. Gallard was awarded the forfeit victory at No. 6 singles with the Lady Blazers not entering a competitor.
The Hawks (5-5) were swept in doubles competition, picking up three wins in singles play.
Marc Guerry picked up the 6-4, 6-4 win in the third slot against Mario Navarro, Guerry has won his last three matches and is 3-1 in GSC play this year.
Arturo Lifshitz was a 6-2, 6-3 winner at No. 5 versus Tammo Haake for his first win against a GSC opponent.
Robert Watson won the final point for the Hawks with a 2-6, 6-2, 10-8 win over Andrew Harvin. This was Watson’s first singles match of the season; he has been playing doubles from the No. 2 spot most of the season with Colt Kelley.
The tennis teams are back at home tomorrow against West Florida, another GSC foe, for a 10 am start.
SHORTER LACROSSE
The Hawks fell behind early and rallied to have a late lead before dropping the home game against Notre Dame de Namur, 15-14.
The visiting Argonauts scored eight first quarter goals to lead 8-4 after just fifteen minutes of play. Two Hawks goals were scored by Scott Dangel for his first scores of the season, while Kyle Morris and Matt Kristiansen each found the back of the net.
Despite being down early, Shorter (2-6) rallied back. The Hawks outscored the Argos 4-2 in the second quarter and 3-1 in the third quarter to enter the final 15:00 with the scored tied, 11-11.
The second quarter saw two Hawks doing the scoring as Kyle VanKauwenberg and James VandenBrink each scoring a pair of goals — including VandenBrink notching one with a man up situation thanks to an NDNU penalty.
Kristiansen scored twice in the third, including a man up goal with an assists from Andrew King. King recorded the first of his two second-half goals late in the third period to tie the game.
King and Benjamin Janes scored the first two goals for the Hawks in the final quarter, with the goal for Janes giving Shorter the 13-12 lead with 9:16 to play.
VanKauwenberg scored his final goal after a pair of Argo scores to tie the game one more time with 2:03 remaining.
Carter Olson had one last effort in him for the visiting team, scoring the final goal of the night with 23 seconds left — it was Carter’s fourth goal of the night.
J.R. Willers faced 44 Argos shots, making 14 saves.
Shorter picked up a trio of goals from Kristiansen and VanKauwenberg, while VandenBrink, King and Dangel each scored twice. Zachery Dirkse assisted on four Hawks goals
The Hawks went 3-for-7 on man up opportunities, while the defense prevented NDNU from scoring in with an advantage, going 0-for-8.
Notre Dame de Namur held an advantage in ground balls, 38-28, and winning 20 of the 33 face offs.
The Hawks will be on the road this weekend visiting Lenoir-Rhyne for a Sunday game at 1 pm. Shorter will return home next Saturday when Emmanuel visits Ben Brady Field for a 1 pm start on March 23.
