Two facing drug charges after late night traffic stop

Floyd County police arrested two people after a traffic stop on Lavender Mountain Trail late Wednesday night, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Ashleigh Elizabeth Martin, 23, of 2522 Callier Springs Road S.E., Apt. 223, was driving without a valid license.

When police searched the vehicle, police found two round white pills not in their original container in a cigarette case.

Police also found two pills in the sunglass storage compartment.

Martin is charged with two counts of misdemeanor failure to keep drugs in their original container, two counts of felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and one count of misdemeanor driving without a license.

Her passenger, Denise Shevon Cron, 24, of 312 S. McLin St., is charged with misdemeanor failure to keep drugs in their original container, felony possession of a Schedule IV drug and felony probation violation.

Martin has a bond of $3,900. Cron’s bond is $3,500. Both remained in the Floyd County Jail on Thursday night.
