Two wrecks that occurred during morning rush hour backed up inbound traffic on Shorter Avenue.

One wreck involved a stalled vehicle near Shorter College, and the other was a two-vehicle wreck with injuries at Horseleg Creek Road.

According to police:

A green sedan was driving eastbound on Shorter Avenue when it collided with a white Tahoe attempting to make a left turn onto Horseleg Creek Road.

Two injuries were reported, and the driver of the Tahoe, Abbigail Underwood, was taken to the hospital.

Underwood, 17, was ticketed for failure to yield.

Traffic was clear by around 8:15 a.m.
