Mr. and Mrs. James E. Pilgrim of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter Jennifer Leigh Pilgrim to Christopher Michael Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Michael Cox of Leesburg.

Miss Pilgrim is a 2005 honor graduate of Pepperell High School, a 2008 magna cum laude graduate of Piedmont College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and a 2009 graduate of Piedmont College with a Master’s degree in business administration.

The bride-elect is the sister of Josh, Jacob, and Jillian Pilgrim, all of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Terhune Jr. of Rome, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pilgrim.

Cox is a 2005 graduate of Lee County High School and is currently stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colo. with the U.S. Army. Cox recently returned home from a year-long tour of duty in Afghanistan.

The groom-elect is the brother of James, Rachel, and Jonathan Cox, all of Leesburg. He is the grandson of Adele Cox of Albany, the late Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Edwards and the late Jack Cox.

The wedding ceremony is planned for Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at the Berry College Chapel in Rome. A reception will follow at the Rome Civic Center.
