Jeffersons on Broad Street has a fridge full of wings.
Business is usually pretty good, Jeffersons manager Noreen Hullander said of the Super Bowl draw. Last year, a majority of our business came from large to-go orders. We had tons and tons of wings going out.
She expects a good bit of their business will come from people wanting to watch the game in their establishment with the 45-cent wing special going on throughout the game.
McCrobies, also located on Broad Street, has also geared up for the influx of business, expecting a sizeable audience for Super Bowl XLIII. Kitchen manager Keith Kastanias said fans at McCrobies will be able to enjoy a free buffet during halftime along with party games and free pool, giveaways, Super Bowl trivia and a concert after the game.
Its going to be a lot of fun, Kastanias said. This is the second time weve done this, and we had a good crowd last year.
Still, managers are worried about the possibility of falling short of last years sales figures.
Today Im up against a huge day from last year, East Rome Pizza Hut store manager Tommy Fortenberry said. I might fall a little short, and we can only cross our fingers and hope for the best.
There are two groups of people who wont be complaining on Super Bowl Sunday: the fans who ordered the pizzas, and the delivery drivers bringing food to the hungry fans.
Papa Johns Pizza area supervisor Jeremy Linville said Super Bowl Sunday is probably one of the best days of the year for delivery drivers besides Halloween.
Super Bowl Sunday tips are usually the holy grail day, Linville said. Theres a few days where its good to be a pizza delivery driver. Youre not going to hear a lot of complaints.
