This weekend, a yard sale will do more than just help de-clutter people’s homes.

Harbin Clinic is holding a massive fundraiser yard sale Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harbin Clinic Specialty Center, 550 Redmond Road.

“I want everybody in the tri-county area to come to this yard sale,” said organizer Amy Forston, a vascular technologist at Harbin Clinic.

The proceeds from the yard sale go to The Free Clinic of Rome. Forston said they are no longer taking donations for the sale.

“I have priced probably 4,000 pieces of clothing and dug through more boxes than I ever care to dig through again,” Forston said.

The Free Clinic offers no-cost limited medical care to uninsured people who fall within a certain income bracket.

“Hopefully we’ll have a big fat cardboard check to hand over to the Free Clinic,” Forston said.

Everything that is not sold will be donated to the Hospitality House Thrift Store.
